Out of the six couples who participated in the first season of the Netflix reality show "Ultimatum," only two remain together today: Lauren Pounds and Nate Ruggles, and Rae Williams and Jake Cunningham.

The show's premise was simple: six couples on the brink of marriage were given an ultimatum by one partner - either get married within eight weeks or break up. During that time, the couples lived with other potential partners to see if they were truly compatible. In the end, only two couples were able to make it work.

So, what's the secret to their success? According to Pounds, it's all about communication. "We really worked on communicating our needs and wants to each other," she said. "We also made sure to spend quality time together, even when things were tough." Cunningham agrees, saying that communication and compromise were key for him and Williams. "We had to learn to talk to each other openly and honestly," he said. "And we also had to be willing to compromise on certain things."

The success of these two couples is a testament to the power of communication and compromise. It's also a reminder that even when things are tough, it's possible to work through them and come out stronger on the other side.

Who's Still Together from the Ultimatum

The Netflix reality show "Ultimatum" put six couples on the brink of marriage to the test. After eight weeks of living with other potential partners, only two couples remained together: Lauren Pounds and Nate Ruggles, and Rae Williams and Jake Cunningham.

• Communication: The ability to communicate needs and wants was essential for the success of these two couples.
• Compromise: Both couples had to be willing to compromise on certain things in order to make their relationships work.
• Trust: The couples had to trust each other implicitly, even when they were living with other people.
• Love: Ultimately, the couples' love for each other was what kept them together.
• Hard work: Making a relationship work takes hard work, and these couples were willing to put in the effort.

These five key aspects are essential for any successful relationship. Communication, compromise, trust, love, and hard work are the foundation of any strong partnership.

Communication

In any relationship, communication is key. It's how we express our needs and wants to our partner, and how we understand theirs. Without effective communication, it's impossible to build a strong and lasting relationship.

This was especially evident in the case of the two couples who remained together after the Netflix reality show "Ultimatum." All four individuals cited communication as being essential to their success. Nate Ruggles said that he and Lauren Pounds "really worked on communicating our needs and wants to each other." Rae Williams agreed, saying that she and Jake Cunningham "had to learn to talk to each other openly and honestly."

There are many different ways to communicate effectively in a relationship. The most important thing is to find a way that works for both partners. Some couples find it helpful to set aside regular time each week to talk about their relationship. Others prefer to have more spontaneous conversations throughout the day. The key is to find a way to communicate that is open, honest, and respectful.

When couples are able to communicate effectively, they are better able to resolve conflict, build trust, and create a strong foundation for their relationship.

Compromise

Compromise is an essential component of any healthy relationship. It is the ability to find a mutually acceptable solution when two people have different needs or wants. In the context of the Netflix reality show "Ultimatum," compromise was essential for the success of the two couples who remained together.

For example, Lauren Pounds and Nate Ruggles had to compromise on where they would live after they got married. Pounds wanted to live in a big city, while Ruggles preferred a more rural area. They were able to find a compromise by choosing a smaller city that was close to both of their families.

Rae Williams and Jake Cunningham had to compromise on their wedding plans. Williams wanted a big, traditional wedding, while Cunningham preferred a smaller, more intimate ceremony. They were able to find a compromise by having a small ceremony with their closest family and friends, followed by a larger reception.

Compromise is not always easy, but it is essential for any relationship to succeed. By being willing to compromise, couples can find mutually acceptable solutions to their problems and build a stronger relationship.

The ability to compromise is a key factor in determining which couples will stay together and which couples will break up. Couples who are able to compromise are more likely to be able to resolve conflict and build a strong foundation for their relationship.

Trust

Trust is the foundation of any healthy relationship. It is the belief that your partner will be there for you, even when things are tough. In the context of the Netflix reality show "Ultimatum," trust was essential for the success of the two couples who remained together.

• Honesty: The couples had to be honest with each other about their feelings and experiences while living with other people. This helped to build trust and prevent misunderstandings.
• Communication: The couples had to communicate openly and honestly with each other about their needs and wants. This helped to ensure that both partners felt secure in the relationship.
• Respect: The couples had to respect each other's boundaries and decisions. This helped to create a sense of safety and trust in the relationship.
• Commitment: The couples had to be committed to each other and to the relationship. This helped to provide a sense of stability and security.

Love is essential for any healthy relationship, but it is especially important in relationships that are under stress.
